Hi John,

I am new to Open Source, but I have always believed in the concept and the
creativity of individuals and small groups. Frankly, I thought I was too
old and slow to convert over to Open Source, but it's very easy and very
friendly software.

I have used Microsoft products since the early days of DOS. I have
defended Windows countless times. When they brought out Windows 8 I
thought FINALLY they will do what they have promised for over 20 years. I
also bought a Windows 8 Nokia 920 phone. I am shocked at the problems in
both the desktop OS and the phone. I cannot believe it. I never thought I
would leave Microsoft, especially at my age.

But, every part of Open Office has been superior to MS Office - for me, and
my uses. Office is now bloated, like Windows 8. It does too much of
nothing and the Open Source creativity is beautiful to see.

Oh, the Windows 8 Nokia 920 phone? I had it for 48 hours and traded it in
for a Samsung Galaxy Note 2. It is amazing and has so many cool ways to
customize it. Windows 8 is no longer customizable. I cannot believe i am
leaving them after over a quarter century of using their products. But,
here I am. Recent converts tend to be the most fervent and dedicated. Sell
it with the Zealot.

Steve
