To reflect reality, I have now put Marius and myself as owners there. The
news section is work in progress, and we're working towards a solution
that can be fueled by community contributions. Unfortunately, we're a
small team with lots to do. So it won't happen over night.

I noted my suggestion on the wiki, stating that it's probably the best
option for now to send news worthy items to this list and either Marius or
myself will turn it into a news item on the site. Three lines is probably
enough, image is a bonus. :)

I agree. On the Qt Blog we have a life stream that has almost everything
in one place. This is still my favorite solution for integrating all the
different news sources we currently have.
