It is not by any mean a "must", but I was thinking today about a Qt5
Harmattan session. My idea was originally initiated by the Summer
Device program and this thread:
http://lists.qt-project.org/pipermail/development/2012-May/004195.html

We have, luckily enough, many people around Qt5 for Desktop, but what
about other platforms ? As we know, the QtOnPi delivery is a bit late,
the next billion is not yet out, if ever; Symbian is probably not the
future direction, either. What do we have left ? I need to admit, I
still like my N9, which I got from Quim in Munich the last Qt
Developer Days. I know that the project is not that alive on Nokia's
side, but the platform is somewhat proven, and can extend the Qt5
experience almost right away.

There is also the "Summer'12 Device Program/Qt 5 Mobile Projects"
currently ongoing. Thanks for that to Nokia and Quim. :-) I would
personally appreciate such a session, but I am unsure how the
community feels. I have tried to ask this today on #harmattan, but I
believe others were busy during the daytime. I presume the Qt
community for phones is probably the biggest around Harmattan. If
nobody stands up, I would surely try to lead such a session. I have
talked to Simon Hausmann today who could help with technical answers
about the qtquick2 effort with regards to the Qt Components.

I wonder what others think ? If the community appreciated this, I
think it is worth all the effort, but I do not personally demand this.
It is even possible to see the interest in Berlin, and establish a
session there.

Best Regards,
Laszlo Papp
