IMO Linux works, but yes I know what you refer to - It wouldn't bother
me to use the more verbose.

Also, just looking at the entry pages from last years show:

being an example, maybe I want to pull back on that less is more idea,
maybe not quite that much less.

so - for a first paragraph then:

Then maybe that is brief enough.
