I don't know which is more hilarious, 1) your pretense that liberating Iraq
was merely some personal whim of mine, or 2) your invocation of the
anarchistic all-taxation-is-theft mantra on a forum dedicated to reforming
the LP of its anarchist extremism.

SM> you are so ashamed of your support for US imperialism that you hide
behind missleading terms like libervention <SM

Libervention just means intervention that overthrows tyranny and attempts to
replace it with democracy. I dare you to assert: "It is not the case in
Iraq that America overthrew a tyrannical regime and attempted to replace it
with democracy." Go ahead. Make my day.

Regarding "imperialism", America is in fact an anti-empire. Literal empires
like Rome and Britain used military force to extend imperial sovereignty,
but America does not. No other polity in human history has used its military
as much as we have for the goal of local democratic sovereignty. We've done
so in places like England, Italy, France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Holland,
Denmark, Iceland, Norway, Greece, Germany, Austria, Japan, Taiwan, South
Korea, Grenada, Panama, Kuwait, Kurdistan, Haiti, Bosnia, Kosovo,
Afghanistan, and Iraq. Our efforts aren't always completely successful, and
we've used military force for less noble goals in other places, but our
record in advancing human liberty is nevertheless unmatched in human
history.

SM> You declare yourself to be the Big Tent libertarian and any one who
disagrees with you there for isn't a big tent libertarian. <SM

Laughably false. I want the LP to not officially choose between
liberventionists and anti-interventionists, and to embrace them both. Any
anti-interventionist who agrees with that is just as big-tent as I am. Any
anti-interventionist who insists the Platform explicitly rule out
libervention is clearly smaller-tent.

SM> and do your best to obfuscate the platform so that your true intentions
are hidden. <SM

My intentions are clear: opposition to and minimization of aggression. I'm
for whatever maximizes the net incidence of human liberty. How
un-libertarian of me.
