The war on Iraq is not popular any more. We were right all along, both morally and practically, to oppose it. Now is the time to speak against the war as forcefully as possible. Say it now, when people will listen.
Supporting our principles is not demagoguery. We should stress those issues which coincide both with our principles, and with voter sentiment. Don't compromise our principles; advertise our most popular positions. Both major parties send me "surveys" asking only which of their issues they ought to stress. We should act the same way. So the "Greatest Hits" you want, should be prior platform positions which will resonate with the voters now. Don't look for the lowest common denominator.
