In the interview Paul endorses

* replacing the income tax with a sales tax or other kinds of taxes,
* "vouchers or tax credits" for education,
* "starting to privatize Social Security", and
*       the death penalty.

The first three positions are in fact somewhat less radical than what Paul
advocates now, so I may have been a little mistaken (in a way that helps my
arguments) when I said Paul's positions haven't changed since 1988.
Amusingly, Lew Rockwell worked on Paul's 1988 campaign, but now considers at
least the first three positions above to be unconscionably and insidiously
gradualist.

P.S. Paul also pretty clearly predicts the "fall" of the Soviet Union.
