False. You asked me not to cross-post. Cross-posting is defined on
Wikipedia thus:

Crossposting is the act of posting the same message to multiple forums,
mailing lists, or newsgroups. This is distinct from multiposting, which
involves posting multiple identical messages, each to a single forum,
newsgroup, or topic area. Excessive crossposting is considered bad form
because it multiplies traffic without adding any new content.

Note that my cross-posting did not increase OL traffic by one iota, as I
already pointed out. Your belated "stealing" rationalization is laughable.

"Cross-posting" does NOT mean merely quoting words from one forum on another
forum. You had NEVER ONCE asked me to not quote OL postings on other
forums, and when I specifically asked you if that might be what you meant,
you didn't answer my question. If you ever repeat this charge (of asking me
several times not to quote OL postings elsewhere) against me, it will be a
lie. If you don't know the meanings of the words you use with me, that's
not my problem.

It is not "stealing" to fairly and accurately quote the publicly-visible
acts of political speech by a group seeking to influence public policy. To
suggest that is "stealing" is ludicrous. The quotes I used clearly fall
under the fair use provision of U.S. Code
<http://www4.law.cornell.edu/uscode/17/107.html> Title 17 Sec. 107, as
explained in this copyright
<http://www.faqs.org/faqs/law/copyright/faq/part3> FAQ:

it's probably safe to say that it's a fair use if the use was not commercial
in nature, the posting was not an artistic or dramatic work (e.g.,, it was
the writer's opinion, or a declaration of facts, and not something like a
poem or short story), only as much of the posting was copied as was
necessary (e.g., a short quotation for purposes of criticism and comment),
and there was little or no impact on any market for the posting. A similar
argument can be made for quoting of private email messages.

Your belated construal of your "cross-posting" rule is belied by your
earlier invocation of it to me: "Cross-posting to and from other groups will
increase your chances of being moderated". Cross-posting FROM other groups
is only analogous to cross-posting Outright postings TO other groups if you
assume that all other groups have your ad hoc and never-before-stated policy
that quoting OL postings elsewhere is "stealing". Even at this point, I
would still be surprised if the full Outright leadership gave ex post facto
endorsement to your ad hoc (i.e. ad Holtz) rule that any quoting of OL
postings elsewhere is "stealing".

AW) As I have never been a member of this group and do not want to be,
please remove all references to my name from this group, and all comments
made by me in other forums used here without my permission. (AW

Your non-membership in this forum doesn't give you the right to demand that
your words not be subject to Fair Use here, just as my membership in the OL
forum doesn't give OL leaders the right to publish demonstrable falsehoods
about me there.

FYI, here is some input from an Outright Y! Group member (who was apparently
deterred from saying this on the Outright Group itself, but whose support I
nevertheless appreciate, and who I hope doesn't mind if this outs him to the
Outright authorities):

[The Outright Libertarians list does] not limit free speech within our topic
or limit who can be a member, only people who cannot respect the few
limitations we have.

Or, apparently, the limitations we don't have. The Outright Libertarians
list guidelines (available in the list's files area) include no prohibition
of the kind of thing you're complaining about.
