Hi Everyone The Centre for Dolphin Studies and the Mauritian Marine Conservation Society have an ongoing programme studying cetacean presence and biology off Mauritius.
We have opportunities for two students to undertake PhD level (MSc level will be considered) studies in Mauritius. We have enough funding to undertake the research and provide a small stipend to students, enough to live on, as accommodation is provided. We have a number of potential projects, but are open also to suggestions and individual preferences. Despite our funding, we encourage applications from students currently attached to Universities and whom might have access to other funding. But, we'll consider all applications and PhD registration is available through a South African or Mauritian University. If you're interested, please contact me.
