a great read. It puts things in broad perspective very succinctly and thus
is very powerful, a pleasant contrast to mainstream technical articles.
Also, it reads like a very good short story.

On the IRC, you mentioned about a revision describing parsing tools — looks
a great idea.

And one more thing: regular expressions have been used much for parsing and
perhaps deserve a paragraph or two to describe their place in the big
picture — algorithm- and tool-wise.
