You should be able to find that information using MartService, for
example for datasets on the Biomart Portal (www.biomart.org/biomart),
you can retrieve the configuration by going to
http://www.biomart.org/biomart/martservice?type=configuration&dataset=oanatinus_gene_ensembl
, in this example "oanatinus_gene_ensembl" would be the name of your
dataset. From there, you obtain an XML that contains <Importable> and
<Exportable> tags.
