Sorry, in all seriousness, the short version that I gleaned I think is this that organizationally Lenin stood for the building of a mass social democratic party in Russia along the lines of the German SPD as elucidated most comprehensively by Karl Kautksy with necessary modifications for the semi-clandestine conditions that socialists had to work under in Russia at the time and that all this "combat party" stuff used to justify both Stalinist and cult monolithism is simply not what he stood for. Whether we should too much time on that or not is another question as the questions of war and revolution that really became Lenin's metier are what is really pertinent to activists today-and which caused his split with Kautsky-as the former model is pretty well discredited at this point. Moreover, Lenin ultimately put political questions first, not petty issues of organization. ________________________________________________ Send list submissions to: Marxism@greenhouse.economics.utah.edu Set your options at: http://greenhouse.economics.utah.edu/mailman/options/marxism/archive%40mail-archive.com
