Budgen called me a dickhead after i criticised Brill for flogging books
that contained supposedly 'revolutionary' or 'radical' material for €100
a pop. Knowing his reactionary views on 'illegal' downloading (he calls
people 'scabs' who can't afford to pay extortionate prices for leftwing
books), I then told him that I'd just download it for free, which then
prompted him to insult me again and then block me. He's a complete
wanker who lefties suck up to because he can get their stuff published
or their papers presented at some pointless, self-referential
pseudo-radical conference.

Although in the spirit of a pedantic intellectual, Nigeria actually
played in an incredibly dull game against Iran, whereas Switzerland were

(nobody has actually seen him). Like Neil Fox from Pop Idol, he can make
or break people. We live In capitalism anyway so let's have the next HM
conference in the penthouse of Las Vegas Sheraton! Please send in an
abstract and a 'paper' problematimizing the discontiunities of HM and
Sebastian Budgen, and win a first-class ticket to the weekly HM
conference that takes place on the golden roof of the tallest building
on earth, Burj Dubai (minibar expenses - 9000 per one tiny bottle - not
covered).

There is truly a god - I have just stumbled on this and it has made my
day. Budgen accused me of lacking politics for criticizing his friend
and mentor Alex Stallinicos. I gave him a mouthful and called him a
stupid midget, which of course he is - he blocked me! Why or Lord are
these people so pompous and yet when engaging in a debate with
intelligent people they resort to blocking them?

My philosophy on these academic intellectuals is simple ..what good are
they to the working class? For fuck sake, professor in European and
African politics is a huge cross to bear ... Doctorate in economics in
this current economic crisis is a heavy cross to bear. But are they
carrying the cross? No - they are busy writing stupid books that cannot
be afforded by ordinary folks or even understood by some of us ..I tried
reading one book on Dialectics ...I survived the insanity and vowed
never to buy any books from these pompous academics who are full of hot air!

Hey Jenny, I knew him back in the day also. He cracked me up when I took
him to my flat on the 6th floor of a block on South Kilburn estate, he
lived in Notting Hill at the time, and he curled his lip as he stepped
in to the lift "why on earth do you choose to live here?" I was a single
parent, student at the time working 3 part time jobs to feed my
daughter. That's Sebastian Budgen. Saying that, he'll be loving this.
