I’ll play. How would a physicist answer the following questions:

1. What does ‘is' mean in the sentence, “There is (or is not) such a thing as 
time”?

2. How would we test your answer to #1, assuming that we felt a need to do so - 
in between paying the bills and staving off the despair that comes from 
alienation?

Or are those not “serious questions of physics”? If not, why not?
