Trash, like the rest of that whole current "class" of articles. Israel
is not "aligned to al-Nusra" on the Golan; anyone who has actually read
the UN reports on the border will know they contain no such evidence,
even if various writers tell you they do; the lynching of wounded
patients who have had no trial would in most circumstances be described
as outrageous, especially by anyone with a leftist bone in their bodies,
only in this case some try to justify the unjustifiable (according to
anti-Netanyahu Israeli leftists the murdered guy was a civilian, like
the vast majority of those being treated); imagine the Zionist army
allowing a Palestinian mob to attack one of its ambulances and drag out
patients and murder them: they would have slaughtered Palestinians
before they got anywhere near it, whereas Druze have special privileges
among non-Jews in Israel; the loudest voices among Israeli Druze for an
invasion of Syria to "protect the Druze" from Nusra are prominent
members of Likud; the Syrian Druze organisations vigorously condemned
this brutal lynching

normally stand for in this one instance; an interview with one guy,
allegedly in the FSA (did he have his card or is that just a label) who
says he'd kill an Alawite is not substitute for the vigorously
anti-sectarian politics publicly and forcefully put forward by the FSA,
especially its Southern Front which operates there in the south, in the
area being discussed; if we want to talk about killing Alawites, here's
an Alawite, leftist, pacifist who had been living in exile who recently
returned to Syria, to Alawite Latakia, due to promises from the
regime"Reconciliation Minister" that it would be OK to return now that
he is of old age: and of course the regime tortured him to death

Druze was not there in the south, in Mount Hermon, where the article
says they are "under siege", it was in the far north in Idlib, and the
entire range of revolutionary organisations, from FSA to Islamist, have
vigorously condemned it, and reiterated (like a thousand other times for
anyone who actually gives enough of a fuck to listen to them) that the
shedding of the blood of any civilians, of "any sect", is a crime and
against the spirit of their revolution (but who cares what they say when
western lefty Muslim-eating caricatures are much better?); Nusra itself
condemned the act, not that I like or trust Nusra (anyone knowing my
views know I see it as a major threat to the revolution), but complex
issues need to be dealt with: if they removed the commander in question
and claim to be interrogating him and promise "punishment" etc, then
they do this due to the pressure of the revolutionary environment in
which they operate which actively rejects this; it is so not surprising
to see the Assadists and Zionists competing on the same grounds of
"protecting minorities", maybe the left should tail both instead of only
one.

Recently, Israeli TV aired an interview (Hebrew, at the 2:00 mark)
with a
wounded Syrian fighter who was treated in Israel after being evacuated
from
the combat zone ...
In this context, the interview I mentioned above was a lightning bolt
through the Druze community. The interviewer asked the fighter (who
was
affiliated with the FSA):
Interviewer: [What would u do] if you caught an Alawite?
A: I would kill him
*I: And if you caught a Druze?A: It depends*
I: And if you caught a Shiite?
A: I would kill the Shiite
This answer didn't go down well among the Druze ...
