This is pure hindsight from someone who wasn't around back then, but
didn't the United Nations project help inspire the notion that war could
be done away with actually sounding possible to people for a couple
decades? Perhaps being "antiwar" today wouldn't mean wanting to focus
military action on Afghanistan instead of Iraq if that was still the case.
