As with his his dogmatic adherance to the 'alqaeda' fairy tale (on display, YET AGAIN, earlier today), Proyect's method of attack is that of the snarky, 14-year-old. On Iran the amount of snark rises, inversely and exponentially, in accordance with said individual's social and geographical proximity to editors named Yoshie. Some nights Marxmail provides an education; on others, levity. Does anyone remember the slogan raised by Comrade Proyect's heroic Iranian protestors on Al-Quds Day? "No to Gaza and Lebanon, I will give my life for Iran!" You've gotta love those Tweetin' Greenies - it's takes an audacious lot of Rendon Group ratfuckers to raise THAT slogan on THAT day, eh? The orders from Washington DC & Wall St. seem pretty clear at this point: take few hundred million dollars in cash-money and CIA trained gangbangers: MeK/MKO paramilitaries, 'Jundallah' separatists in Balochistan, and the 'Tondar Commandos' (who want the Shah restored). Deploy them in a way (protests, riots, assassinations, market bombings, etc.) that will destabilize the government to such an extent that a regime who will turn Iran away from China and Russia (as opposed to the theocrats in charge now, who want closer relations with the East) take charge. Z-Big's _The Grand Chessboard_ is a useful resource here. As is Kermit Roosevelt. Are there those in Iran, on the streets, who want a revolution from below? Of course, and we must support them just as there are revolutionaries in the United States that deserve our support (like Lynne Stewart, who languishes in jail for refusing to suck down the 'alqaeda' fairy tale. She's OUR 'Neda'.). The more relevant question, for those of us observing from afar, is whether these revolutionaries could seize power in the event of some Mossadeq/Allende type of operation? Again, I'm obviously in no position to judge this, but my gut says no. AS was the case in 1953 and 1973, shenanigans by the US backed forces will only result in MORE attacks on democratic institutions. As such, stopping the operations launched by the United States ought to be our primary objective.
