Shawn,
Here is a manual from the mathematical literature on the arts
of "data smoothing" http://tinyurl.com/yzggbya

If data smoothing is a scientific conspiracy, then apparently
it is a conspiracy that is being carried out in the open in the
scientific literature, that you do not need to sleuth through
the stolen emails of the scientists at East Anglia to expose.

The fact that capitalists like Chevron, Monsanto etc and
reformist charlatans like Al Gore, Kevin Rudd and the
Corporate Greens have attempted to turn this or that crisis
of capitalism to their advantage does not make those
crises are any less real.

In this situation, the fraud that needs to be exposed
is not some childish conspiracy in the scientific literature.
The real hoax that needs to be exposed by the left is the
one perpetrated by the quacks like Al Gore and Kevin
Rudd, that there are reformist solutions to the environmental
and other crises of capitalism within the framework
of endless accumulation that they seek to maintain.

You would also do well to reread the link posted by
Lou earlier on the fallacy of placing a minus sign
wherever the bourgeoisie put a plus.
