asa, The Workers League, the predecessor of the Socialist Equality Party which publishes the WSWS, broke with the Workers Revolutionary Party in the mid-1980s when Healy's thought began to tend towards subjective idealism (e.g., his pamphlet, Studies in Dialectical Materialism), and the WRP began to repudiate Trotsky's Theory of Permanent Revolution and its internationalist perspective, which in turn, led the WRP to support various bourgeois nationalist and petty-bourgeois movements, including Saddam Hussein and Muammar al-Gadafi. However, before the degeneration of the WRP, it is difficult to see how being called a "Healyite" would be an insult, especially taking into consideration the key role he played in the WRP's predecessor organization, the Socialist Labour League. I'm assuming that your comment about the WSWS accusing the ISO of being agents of the GPU is referring to the series of investigations launched by the Worker's League in the 1970s after it was discovered that Wolforth's girlfriend, Nancy Fields, who had risen to leadership positions, had family ties to the CIA. Although Security and the Fourth International cleared both Wolforth and Fields, it did discover a number of facts about the death of Trotsky and, later, the infiltration of the Socialist Workers Party by government agents in the 1960s. Among the findings was that James P. Cannon's secretary, Sylvia Cladwell, was a GPU agent. Later findings, brought about by an SWP member, Alan Gelfand, in a court case found that Joseph Hansen, head of Trotsky's security, met with FBI agents shortly after Trotsky's death (without ever informing the SWP) and, beginning in the mid-1940s, he had worked for the GPU inside of the SWP. Not surprisingly, one of the most vocal opponents of the investigations and findings of Security and the Fourth International was, Joseph Hansen.
