Conversations with Trotsky Earle Birney and the Radical 1930s https://press.uottawa.ca/conversations-with-trotsky.html <https://press.uottawa.ca/conversations-with-trotsky.html>
This book is reviewed today in the Victoria Times Colonist https://www.timescolonist.com/ <https://www.timescolonist.com/> I do not have access to the review on line. Perhaps someone else will. The review is by Gary Geddes, author of a play about Trotsky, Norwegian Rabbit. https://www.plaything.ca/event-info/norwegian-rabbit-by-gary-geddes <https://www.plaything.ca/event-info/norwegian-rabbit-by-gary-geddes> Earle Birney was a well known (English) Canadian poet. We studied his poem David in high school. He was also the author of Down the Long Table, which I understand to be a somewhat dismissive account of his time in the Trotskyist movement. I haven’t read it. ken h -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Groups.io Links: You receive all messages sent to this group.
