I'm not saying BLM has already been co-opted,but it is a potential danger everybody should be aware of,and try to prevent.Money from corporate philanthropy does not come without strings attached.The argument could be made,if BLM wanted to stick to their principles,and keep their street cred,they should either not seek out,or outwardly reject,help from corporate philanthropy.I have a number of criticisms of BLM,my number one complaint being that they do not equate racism with capitalism.You rarely hear anyone with BLM say that the purpose of the police is to protect the capitalist class,or equating racist police killings and brutality,with US .imperialism,and wars on people of color around the world.BLM could learn a lot from the Panthers,AIM,and others in this area,without incorporating these groups militancy.
