I never understood why Chomsky said this in a first reaction, the interview is 
too short, probably because he was provoked by the interviewer. The two don't 
get along with each other indeed.

A lot of people get terrified by the idea of rebooting in pre-industrial 
society after a post-blackout period, which is understandably of course. Me 
too. Many people who are living in cities will be trapped, because they can't 
get easy access to food anymore.

Zerzan said himself that he does not have the skills to survive such a 
collapse, neither do I. Anybody who has seen the post-apocalyptic movie The 
Road knows who how nasty it can get.
