Because if we must all feel guilt and remorse over battles fought in far-off 
countries hundreds of years ago, where does it all end?

Why do these people always assume that the Kulchur Kancelers who haunt their 
dreams are even mildly interested in their "guilt and remorse"?  Truth is the 
prize here--what some narcissistic Englishman feels as Great Britain itself 
faces dissolution is of no consequence..

And who knew that imperialism is a "modern concept," irrelevant to whatever the 
brave British were up to in Africa "centuries ago" ?
