Fredrick Mullins asks, "Who is going to travel to DC in the middle of the week? I think this will be another wash, like the Proud Boys rally in Portland that was supposed to draw thousands but drew only a couple hundred."
Ken Hiebert replies: The inauguration of 2008 was on a week day. One estimate of the crowd was 1.8 million. A good number of these may have been from the DC metropolitan area. If enough people are sufficiently motivated, you can get a big crowd. (Speaking from a distance, may I say) In terms of mobilizing anti-fascists and anti- racists, we cannot expect a big crowd until we have done a great deal of work. Part of that work will be to assure people that they are not being mobilized for an event organized by Antifa. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Groups.io Links: You receive all messages sent to this group.
