I'd say we have some idea what "these people" think , though for the sheer lunacy of QAnon we may have to go back to the Middle Ages to find a parallel--but we still have IMO only a hazy view--as the statistical kerfuffle around the class composition of the Trumpy "movement" demonstrates--of who as individuals and as a mass they are. It isn't credible AFAIK to assert as the Atlantic article seems to do that because the class composition of those arrested on Jan. 6 seems to be different from that of previously arrested right-wing groups that the class composition of the right wing "masses" has changed. That strikes me as nutty. The truth is that we don't know. We also don't have a clear idea what the class composition of non-voters is, and we actually don't have a100% clear view of this as far as the so-called "Democrats" are concerned. Something was happening last summer and we didn't know what it was. Now it seems to be over. What next?
