Alan, you are of course right --- but after years of being a "pedant" about journalistic treatments, I have come to cut them A LOT of slack ....
The quote of my mother exclaiming in her cell about the Appeals Court Affirmation of the conviction sounds ridiculous --- She might have said it to Manny Bloch at a lawyer;'s meeting and a guard overheard it but the woman who wrote this excellent biography that will be published in June never saw any evidence of such an exclamation --- so it goes ....
