Louis, Few would deny Saudi Arabia is one of the most repressive countries in the world. This is one reason why they are such good allies of the US. Washington loves its despots. I assume you've read the book "House of Bush House of Saud". It would be nice if Biden follows through on his promises on Saudi Arabia, but I don't hold out any hope. The Saudis, like the Israelis, hold too much power in Washington.
The Saudi Royal Family are no friends of the Uyghers, and have called them "terrorists" ,and "extremists" in the past. As for China, I know the relationship is largely that of a business partner, rather than an ally. Even the neoliberals at Brookings admit to that. The Chinese need Saudi oil. The Saudis are ruthless capitalists, and want to sell that oil anywhere they can. They need that filthy lucre. COVID killed their religious tourism industry.
