Not my facts, but those reported by the analyst at The Foundation for Defense 
of Democracies which shares Charlie's animus towards the PRC. Singleton doesn't 
dispute the Pew survey finding, nor do I, that a strong majority of Taiwanese 
oppose unification, only that they want a better relationship with the mainland 
than the ruling DPP has been providing. He also suggests that the PRC, if it 
wished, could boost two-way Taiwan-China investment by providing various 
incentives, reasonable enough speculation even if it never comes to pass.
