Interesting piece in today’s Washington Post by Marc Thiessen, former speechwriter for George W. Bush and fellow of the American Enterprise unit, designed to pressure congressional Republicans delaying passage of the Ukrainian aid bill by identifying the dependence of their home districts on military spending. Thiessen’s catalogue of 122 arms production lines in 65 congressional districts across the country provides a revealing glimpse into the military-industrial bedrock of the US economy.
