Look, our comrades meant “Marxist” in the broad sense, i.e.
self-proclaimed Marxists.
Of course, we don’t believe that the WSWS are “authentic Marxists” and
we have numerous differences with them. (See e.g. their polemic against

But shall we defend the democratic rights only of people who share all
our positions? That would be absurd! It is implied in the formula of
“/democratic rights/” that we defend such rights also of people with
very different viewpoints. Our comrades have stated their political
differences with Bohdan Syrotyuk (who by the way does NOT support Putin
or Russian imperialism) but also call for his release from prison.
Does your hostility against WSWS goes so far that you would not defend
them against repression in the U.S.? That would be morally and
politically reprehensible!
I for my side assure you that we would defend your democratic rights
despite your electoral support for the imperialist war criminal Biden!
