Actually, there is more to it than that since the Zionist colonialists came from no particular country to which they would return. Even the Jsraeli Jewish Arab population of 50% have lost their Arabic and could not return to those Arabic countries either. In any case only 17% of Jewish Israelis have dual citizenship.
This presents as a constitutional crises and The Federation of Palestinian and Hebrew Nations does present a transitional programme to allow for the co-existence of the two Nations including the Palestinian refugees. While the standard position is to dismiss anything other than a One State Solution or a Two-State Solution, neither have worked or could work to allow for the Right of Return for the Palestinian refugees. No doubt many will consider such a no-State Solution to be utopian and yet Daniel Boyarin have published such a work with Yale University Press. Credibility then is a matter of revolution and the table have turned. Dr abrahim From: Roslyn Ross <[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, June 23, 2024 8:11 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [Tony Greenstein's Blog] New comment on Open Letter to Norman Finkelstein – Zionism has Failed – Two States is Dead - Stop Undermining the Global Movement in Support of the Palestinians. Roslyn Ross has left a new comment on the post 'Open Letter to Norman Finkelstein – Zionism has Failed – Two States is Dead - Stop Undermining the Global Movement in Support of the Palestinians <https://azvsas.blogspot.com/2024/06/open-letter-to-norman-finkelstein.html?ext-ref=comm-sub-email> ': Because Palestine is the country and homeland of the Palestinians and the colonists who call themselves Israelis are the newcomers. Palestine and its people have a history more than 5000 years old and the Zioraelis have a history from 1948. The Palestinians have prior and sole rights to their country. The colonists can remain and become Palestinians but they have no separate rights. I understand many people believe religious fairy stories confer rights but they do not. Religious dogma has no credence in law. And it doesn't count that some followers of a religion lived in a place long ago either. If it did the Muslims could claim India which they ruled for 600 years, longer than the Christians did, and they could claim most of Spain and a lot of Europe. The Christians could claim Istanbul and much of Turkey which they ruled for more than a thousand years. But religions have no such rights and that includes Jews. If you are working on the 'same people' theory then Israelis are Europeans and can go back to where they came from. Remember, the Portugese went home after 500 years in Angola so 76 years in Palestine counts for nothing.
