Whatever. The name of the river is merely the boundary of the Donbas region. Russia has declared its position on behalf of the Donbas region and not the Ukraine as a whole. It should be noted that the Ukraine was recognized by Lenin, and it was Khrushchev who added the Donbas on for strategic purposes only.
