As a long-time lurker and decidedly infrequent poster, here's my perhaps
simplistic take on the whole "lesser evil" voting strategy. It's always
worthwhile voting for the party that will allow the most latitude to work for
the sort of change we seek. Here in British Columbia in 2001 the Liberal (read
conservative) Party was elected and proceeded to take a blunt axe to almost
every conceivable social program that could be imagined, with the result that
the left/union segments of society were left  with their heads reeling, in
disarray.
I say get the best deal you can and continue with the necessary work of
building solidarity/revolutionary consciousness in the workplaces and community
groups of the nation.
As I say, simplistic perhaps but I don't know how else to go about it.
