I agree Charlie that we do NOT want a Constitutional Convention (Constituent 
Assembly in more Marxist parlance). But the last big fight over the 
Constitution was the battle of the Equal Rights Amendment which failed but 
there was no hint of a Constitutional Convention being invoked at all. That is 
because it is one thing to amend the constitution, it is a LOT harder to call 
Constitutional Convention. Nor is it necessary to enshrine the right to 
choose/contraceptives into the Constitution though that would be a good thing, 
it would be enough, IMO, to "simply" pass the National Right Choose Act (or 
whatever it is called) in Congress with the added provision that the highly 
undemocratic "Filibusterer" be buried. The Dems are afraid to do this simply 
majority vote rule change at the start of any session of the Senate for fear 
the Republicans will do the same thing when they rule over the Senate.
