That number is probably less than one-tenth the number of innocent Palestinians
lost in Gaza. RKOB tracks the damage done to Israel without considering what
the US/Israel has done to 2 million people in Gaza. I'm puzzled because I know
that RKOB knows there have been 3.5+ million innocents wantonly murdered by the
US in its never-ending "War on Terror," but RKOB is nonetheless hopeful of
victory in the current military confrontation with the US and its proxy Israel
against militarily much weaker foes.
We support Palestinian liberation regardless of their leadership. But that
does not mean we can't discuss needed strategy and tactics both there and here.
The Hamas doctrine of killing and abducting non-combatants, random working
people, civilians and children is not a liberation-struggle tactic but an
authoritarian response to the wanton and random killing of Palestinians in the
Occupied Territories by Israel. So Hamas matches their war crimes rather than
decry them IIUC. So that makes it harder in the US to build a movement against
the war crimes committed with US funds in Israel.
Duane honors the brave and selfless fighters in Palestine on marxmail.
marxmail should also honor the ten times as many dead Palestinian
non-combatants and children by considering whether that particular "military
operation" is within the Marxist tradition. I don't think so.
