We have discussed this at length on this list over the past year and

statement does not: In most US states, the debate over whether to vote for the
Democrats is irrelevant since it is already decided who will win in most US
states. Walter's subtitle, "And Prepare to Mobilize Against the Republicans’
War on Democracy," ignores the role of the Democrats in preventing
representational democracy. I live in Oregon and it does not matter who I vote
for in the Presidential race because Kamala Harris will win. A friend lives in
Missouri, where Trump will win. Walter's arguments are meaningful in only a
half dozen or so states because the war against representational democracy has
been won as far as the national elections are concerned. That's not very
meaningful at all.
