The reference is to Mark Lause’s comment that " *If you're not in a swing
state* , then, there is no justification not to vote for West or Stein or
anyone else with a generally progressive agenda and an implicit critique of
capitalist policies.” (emphasis mine)

As I noted previously, I’ve been doing this all my political life - voting NDP
in a tight race against the party to its right and, where it hasn’t make a
difference one way or the other,  staying home or casting a vote for someone
running as a far left candidate.

I ’ ve always interpreted the angry denunciations of the Democrats on this list
- mostly justified, of course - as an indication that it was considered
unprincipled to vote for a Democrat in any circumstance, swing state or
otherwise  -

But we now hopefully seem to be in agreement that it’s necessary to put outrage
aside and to treat the issue as a tactical rather than a principled question as
I tried to explain here: https://groups.io/g/marxmail/message/32781

Walter and his group clearly also concur.
