I remember traveling with Nader in Inland Southern California in 1996 for his first run. Meetings were held in churches, classrooms etc. This was a relatively conservative area back then. Even so, the meetings in which Nader spoke were packed- often standing room only. There was a mass basis for his candidacy then and even more so in 2000. The movement of Arab/Muslim voters in Michigan and elsewhere sounds like something similar. Very positive and exciting. SR
