"Trump's decisive victory": What does "decisive" add? Total turnout was done about 10 percent from 2020. The country remains deeply divided. PSL writes "decisive" to alarm the reader and soften her for what follows.
"The democrats’ inability to speak to the needs of the working class": Inability allows that the Democrats might have wanted to speak to working class needs – false. "united working class movement to defeat the far right": The implicit view that defeating the far right is our task is a confession of class collaboration. Such collaboration (or, often, lefts begging to collaborate but ignored) has never done more than postpone the next retreat. Furthermore, if the goal really were to defeat the far right, a section of the ruling class may seek to unite with a swath of the working class.
