Or they didn't really flip on that any more than they want a US president to
try and deport 20 million people, waste billions of dollars building a wall
along the US/Mexico border, or banning Muslims from the US. None of these
things were done or will be done.
I don't really know. Certainly, there has always been a protectionist segment
of the US capitalist class, but silicon valley manufactures most of its crap in
Asia, and they are not going to change that practice or charge their customers
more for a tariff. They will pay Trump off and probably already have. He's
the perfect president for capitalists in the sense that those who can afford to
pay the most wins.
