My guess would be that wouldn't an election if they Hamas won, which they
didn't. Israel is not interested in a Palestine democracy any more than Qatar.
Hamas has lost Israeli support. Likud cannot let the money drops resume. Israel
no doubt has a new strategy that doesn't include nurturing Hamas.
