Andie is perfectly right. Putin did something similar. There are also other possibilities. Trump could continue to sit as VP and simply be the one to make all decisions including appointments, etc. That would give him the advantage of effectively being president AND run the senate. Or he could simply cancel the elections altogether. Or he could seize the voting machines as he wanted to do in 2020 and as he recently said he regrets not having done.
But the question for those on this list is: *And you still think the differences between the Trump cult known as the Republican Party and the Democratic Party are inconsequential?* With everything that is happening today? Really? That's in effect saying that there is no real difference between bourgeois democracy and a completely authoritarian (aka bonepartism) ruler, and one with a strong fascist base at that. I'm looking forward to those who hold this position here to comment. What they should say, if they are consistent, is "who cares how many terms he serves?
