Abraham, first, thank you for replying. I wish you'd take the time to do this 
more often...

So on Brazil and the colonial settler nature of their history which I don't 
disagree with, either with the U.S. or Canada in fact. But how does that inform 
us what to do next? There is no going back to what it was and all parties 
concerned know that. So it is important we fight for just solutions and 
democracy within this context. No changing of the state, revolution or anything 
short of that, will erase that colonial-settler history.

On Ukraine of course is being occupied, don't you understand that? What 
Ukrainian would trust Russia on anything? The only way to negotiate such a 
treaty (I'm not personally against such a treaty but it is up to Ukrainians and 
Russians to negotiate this, sans the U.S.) to start with is that Russia has to 
recognize ( again , since it did it once already) the lines drawn by the 
Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic as they stood before the collapse of the 
USSR. With that, with no occupations, then there can be discussions.
