I'm not sure what that means for us because it is polling data and not membership counts. They are not organized, which is the point. It's also not clear what "socialism" means to the people who check "yes" on a questionnaire. There are about 90k members in the US DSA, but I suspect that over 90% are inactive people who pay yearly dues when reminded. Also, the DSA is not an independent political movement but a Democratic Party pressure group; the US labor movement's only strategy in the face of Trump delisting unions is to elect Democrats. For this discussion thread, it makes no sense to keep castigating people on this list for not voting for, or actively campaigning for, the Democratic Party presidential candidate. They are two different things, and I know at least one person on this list who voted for Kamala Harris. I'm not aware of anyone who actively campaigned for the Democrats and shared it with the list. But it doesn't matter because we are too small to make a difference. It's a hypothetical question at a time when we have real problems to consider instead of someone falsely claiming "I told you so" over and over and over again.
