The Palestinian resistance in Gaza fought for two years in a monstrous
genocidal war - and before this in 4 other wars. Thousands of their
fighters - including most leaders - have been killed.
In contrast, the the Chavista regime capitulated after a single military
attack in which they even didn't kill any U.S. soldier!
How is it possible to ignore the difference?!
The main goal of the regime's leading figures is to stay in power and to
keep their businesses.

Hamas is currently abiding by the one-sided ceasefire in Gaza. During
the "ceasefire" period, more than 500 Palestinians have been killed.
But as far as I am aware Hamas has not hit back.
Meanwhile Israeli troops continue to occupy more than half of the Gaza
strip and restrict the inflow of aid.
Why does Hamas accept such a one-sided "ceasefire"? I assume they
realise they can't militarily defeat the Israeli armed forces, which
are backed by US imperialism.
Similarly, Venezuela can not militarily defeat the US navy, which is
blockading its ports. Hence it is offering concessions to foreign
capital, presumably hoping that this will lead to the easing of the
blockade.
The only solution is increased international solidarity, particularly
in the US, leading to the cessation of US aid to Israel and the ending
of the blockade on Venezuela.
