Please note the conjunctive "and," referring to two separate things, in this 
case referring to the SWP which played a major role in the anti Vietnam War 
movement and whose members created memoirs of their experiences - primarily 
Halstead but others and to the separate, albeit more diffuse, pacifist tendency 
which also played a significant role. Several pacificists, such as Dellinger,  
also left memoirs. My comment was that the members of the CPUSA who undoubtedly 
were also significant players in the movement apparently did not.  Blanc's 
essay and the extract posted by Pugliese did not mention the CP's role.SRSent
