Why did not the Government of Cuba decide to rely on environmentally destructive fossil fuels - instead of far cheaper and better solar energy?
This seems a glaring example of mismanagement for decades. Now we see little opposition to US Imperialism most unpopular leader threatening revoking written agreed to treaties of never invading, that came about because of the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis" and the wise leadership of Nikita Khruschev, to avoid nuclear war but contain the USA Imperialists to withdraw its missiles from Greece and Turkey and promise - in writing - to never militarily invade that independent Cuba. The expected capitalist "rule of law" for when they follow instead "their rules" for their capitalist rule -.is on display - but not even anything but "accepting" USA militarist objectives, as a response from the Left which shows little international solidarity against colonialism and imperialism - on prominent display. I have long been critical of Cuban government homophobia which has shamefully been supported by many left political currents - reflecting still the refusal to acknowledge needed respect and rights for Gay and Lesbian People. But as a internationalist and with left ideology, I see little solidarity and opposing the threatened invasion of Cuba, by USA military forces. What happened with the small left sectlets "demanding" political agreement with Cuba's government, as being the only politics - to instead focus on a real needed broad political coalition against U. S. Military efforts to return Cuba, to be under USA Colonial Rule? Seems the Left, is without energy and forces, to presently just watch events and threats to humanity - as viewers not activists?
