To be sure, a large percentage of the members of just about every left group have left after a few years. You still have no evidence that they left because their group did not "steadily accumulate cadre," let alone because the group did not fulfill your vague criterion of becoming "well positioned to displace the disgraced reformist leadership of the class." These goals are apparently what you expected.
