According to Walters, Trotsky had to lie in 1932 because "admitting he had 
contact with his son in Berlin would of endangered the developing opposition to 
Stalin." The Party had rejected Trotsky's line over and over by 1932. Kirov was 
murdered in Dec. 1934. To say that an alleged developing opposition to Stalin 
would be "endangered" in 1932 does not hold. You are projecting your notions 
about the late 1930s back to 1932.
