John acknowledges that the trade unions and DSA are not arousing their rank-and-file to the Administration's moves to shut down the 2026 midterm elections.
That leaves scattered small groups to do what they can to raise the alarm. The corollary is that, since they cannot really affect events, they should combine "Hands off the election!" with propaganda to overthrow capitalism. Because if we get through this crisis, the next one is right behind it.
